Thorburn Associates is a professional service firm providing Acoustical Consulting, Technology System Engineering, and Lighting Design for the commercial, corporate, leisure, public, residential, and retail Industries.  TA provides integrated collaborative designs for both new construction and renovations.

Our client base consists of 40% architects, 40% facilities and end users, and 20% owners.  We have worked on/at/for all the major North Carolina universities, convention centers, hospitals, medical centers, churches, resorts, and hotels and are looking for a long term member to help us expand our presence in North Carolina.

If you have put teams together at whatever level, know the A/E industry in the Carolinas, are active in AIA/SMPS and other professional societies, you might be the right person.

The job will require strange hours; after all there are night time mixers and events likely each week. In addition, you will be expected to make at least 10 quality face-to-face meetings a week and coordinate at least 10 qualified marketing packages and 20 more introductory packages to be sent out.

You must be an expert with MS Word, learn ACT! if you do not know it, and be able to support principals that can change their minds on a marketing plan based on a good idea or book.

The perfect person in our minds is someone who has been active in SMPS, has paid their dues but needs a chance for the next level of growth.  Some travel will be required as you hold your face to face meetings with architects. This is not the 8 to 10 dollar per hour; however, pay is based on your performance.  You will have a good base and a chance to make money as we make money.  We also pay for 100% of basic health insurance.
