TA provided acoustical recommendations for the new IMAX theatre at the Challenger Learning Center located on beautiful Kleman Plaza in downtown Tallahassee. The center is the K-12 outreach facility of the Florida State University College of Engineering. It uses aerospace as a theme to foster long-term interest in math, science, and technology; create positive learning experiences; and motivate students to pursue careers in these fields. To accomplish this mission, the Challenger Learning Center features a state-of-the-art Space Mission Simulator and utilizes the immersive qualities of an IMAX theatre and a domed high-definition planetarium. These features create a holistic educational and entertaining experience.
