Like many churches, this new sanctuary embraces a dramatic design with angled ceilings, a central skylight, and plenty of additional windows surrounding the upper and lower level of the building. Since these spaces are used primarily for speech and music, care must be taken to identify the correct reverberation times which would apply to this dual function. To control unnecessary echoes, recommendations were made for modifying window angles and placing sound-absorptive acoustic panels in predetermined places throughout the interior. TA also designed an audiovisual system specific to the space and client needs.

Construction details for wall designs were provided to keep sound from the adjacent rooms isolated from the main area. A review of the mechanical systems (air handler, ducts, and plumbing) ensured that this noise wouldn’t interfere with activities taking place in the sanctuary.
