San Jose’s new LEED certified library includes a communal area, group areas, technical center, Internet café, study spaces, and community space. TA provided acoustical consulting to promote natural acoustics, while enhancing speech intelligibility in the meeting rooms and counter areas. The audiovisual design included a paging and background music system throughout the building; the community room & technical center included ceiling-mounted data projector, retractable screen, and in-wall loudspeakers for program audio.
